The Seventh Grade Orchestra will be rehearsing Monday, Nov 5, from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Horizon MS orchestra room.  Please make sure you are there ahead of time, tuned and ready to play at 6:00 pm.  We have only one more rehearsal and then we are off to Lincoln.

The Seventh and Eighth Grade will be heading to Grand Island this Saturday (Nov 10) to attend Strictly Strings.  The bus will load at Sunrise at 7:30 and leave at 7:45 am.  Chair placements are at 9:00 with the first rehearsal at 9:30 am.  Lunch and snacks are provided.  All you need to bring is your instrument, music and your clothes for the concert.  The concert is at 4:00 pm in the gymnasium at Walnut Middle School (1600 N Custer).  There is a small admission to the concert, so make sure your family brings a little money.

At the high school this week will be auditions for Hastings Honor Orchestra on Wednesday, Nov 7.  Make sure you sign up for an audition time.  They will begin 4th block and continue afterschool until everyone is done.  If you can’t make it, you can submit and audition CD.  See Mr. Klein for details.

Speaking of auditioning-Brad will be doing the recording for those of you who would like to make your recording at school.  Of course, the Upper Room is still an option.  You will need a couple of scales and an example of something fast and something slow.  See Mr. Klein or ask one of your classmates who has done this before.

As to the 5th and 6th grade, they continue to work on their music for the December 6 concert.
