The Fifth Grade Orchestra has begun working on their holiday songs for the December 6 concert at the Archway Monument.  Not only will they being using their bows, they will also be playing music with harmony.  November will be a very busy month as they prepare their pieces.
 
The Sixth Grade Orchestra has started to blossom.  Everyone is about caught.  To the new students who just began playing this year----Congratulations!!!!  Their music for the December 6 concert will include both traditional holiday music and pieces that are serving well as learning tools on playing stylistically.
 
The Seventh Grade Orchestra continues to work on their music for the NE Music Educators Convention concert.  They are only two weeks away, so everyone is moving into high gear.
 
For the Seventh and Eighth Grade Orchestras, Strictly Strings is a week from this coming Saturday.  With six songs on the program, these students are very busy practicing.  Students will be choses this week to represent Horizon and Sunrise in chair placements.  Everyone is wished good luck.
 
The high school orchestras are busy preparing for their annual December elementary tour and their holiday concert on December 17.  Congratulations to all who were involved in “Fiddler On The Roof”, it was great!!!!
 
The All-State students have received their music and have begun the preparation process.  When they tell you they are only playing three pieces, it sounds like very little.   Then they tell you that the three pieces will take 40 minutes to perform and then you think-----WOW!!!!  check out their music, you will be impressed.
