These students will be among the 145 students selected to be a part of the 2009 All-State Orchestra. Guest conductor for the group will be William LaRue Jones, Director of Orchestral Studies, University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. The orchestra will rehearse Wednesday, November 18th through Friday, November 20th on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus, the host site of the 2009 NMEA Conference/Clinic. A final public concert will be held on Friday, November 20th at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. There were only twelve string students selected that were not from the Lincoln and Omaha metro area; ten of these twelve students are from Kearney High School Orchestra.

All-State Auditions On Saturday, October 10, KHS will once again be hosting All-State Auditions. If you are auditioning, make sure you have made arrangements at work or any other activity that you might have on this Saturday. There is no other opportunity.
