This is the second week for our news blog. Hopefully this will be a great way to keep up on what is happening.
Hope many of you had a chance to hear Dr. Chen last week. Definitely a “world class” concert. She is an incredible musician.
On Thursday of last week the Marine Band was in town. This was another opportunity to hear and see a “world class” performance. Just think-------both concerts were free. We are so lucky.
Auditions is this coming Saturday. Don’t forget to wish the students who are auditioning great success. Everyone has and is working very hard.
Speaking of working hard, that is exactly what the 7th grade orchestra is doing. These students are faithfully practicing in preparation for their performance in Lincoln, Nov 16.
The 5th grade orchestra is getting very excited about their first concert. These students will be guest performers on the senior high orchestra concert, Monday, Oct 15. In addition the 7th grade orchestra will be performing two selections from their Lincoln program. The concert will start at 7:30 pm in the KHS Auditorium.
The Concert Attendance on line form won’t be ready until the end of the week. It has a few script issues and then it will be ready to go.
The Sunrise 7th grade Comeca Campers have started on their podcast. It is very probable that it will be published next weekend. In the meantime, check out a couple of podcasts that were made at summer orchestra.
